We invite you to an art history lecture titled "Rembrandt: Stepping Out of the Shadows." We will discuss the great master of chiaroscuro and the preeminent Dutch painter—Rembrandt. He was a man who kept painting despite all of life's blows; true to the nature of genius, his work became all the more brilliant as external circumstances grew harsher, yet his art would only be fully appreciated after his passing. We will also discover how Rembrandt ended up in the world of "Gangster St. Petersburg" and why his paintings were stolen by the likes of Nikulin, Evstigneev, and even Louis de Funès.
Speaker: Nikolai Dulkin—a graduate of the Stroganov Academy, a highly qualified educator, and a charming, charismatic lecturer.
