Art Foundation "ANAGI"
ABOUT THE ART CONCEPT GALLERY
Founded in 2025, The Art Concept Gallery is Art Foundation Anagi's curated emporium for numbered art objects, limited-edition goods and exhibition-driven merchandise. Every release, from archival monographs and screen-printed tees to sculptural bookends and hand-sewn totes-arises from close collaborations with Georgian artists, designers and select international partners. Produced in small, collector-focused runs, many items are exclusive to our Tbilisi space and online platform. Proceeds are reinvested into the foundation's research, conservation and public-programme initiatives, letting you take a fragment of the exhibition home while directly supporting Georgia's cultural ecosystem.
Art Foundation Anagi
Discover a new, distinctive space dedicated to Georgian contemporary art.
“Art Foundation Anagi” was established in September 2025, following the international model of corporate art foundations, and brings together leading representatives of Georgian business and creative industries.
The foundation building houses several exhibition spaces, showcasing contemporary Georgian visual art from different periods, perspectives, and practices.
AFA Curatorial Hall and AFA Gallery
The exhibition includes large-scale canvases by Georgian contemporary artists of different generations, which were previously housed in private collections in Europe.
The exhibition is based on two historical exhibitions, “Ein Dialog” (“Dialogue”, 1990, Cologne) and “Georgia on My Mind” (“Georgia on My Mind”, 1994, Berlin), through which the Western world, to a large extent, first became acquainted with Georgian contemporary art.
AFA - Sergo Kobuladze’s Studio
The Fund presents a curatorial reconstruction of the studio of the prominent Georgian artist, Sergo Kobuladze.
AFA – Archive
The Archive presents the “Nino Pophkhadze – Four Monologues” is a new exhibition by the Art Foundation “Anagi”, presenting a fresh visual interpretation of the works of the forgotten Georgian illustrator Nino Pophkhadze (1916–2001) and offering a critical rethinking of Soviet heritage.
Alongside Pophkhadze, the exhibition features works by three contemporary artists — Anuk Beluga, Giorgi Kontridze, and Luiza Laferadze — creating four variations of observation on time and space.
AFA Photo / AFA Cinema
The space will host two photo exhibitions: “Sergo Parajanov on the Set” and the conceptual photo series “Accidental Portraits” by contemporary Georgian photographer Giorgi Shengelia. The project was implemented in collaboration with the gallery “Photoatelie”.
Mappa Cartographica
The space features a private collection of historical maps and rare bibliographic publications. The exhibits include unique European cartography depicting Georgia from various historical periods, as well as texts by European travelers and a visual chronicle of medieval Georgian culture and life.
