ARMENIA
No-Mad Academy invites you on a unique journey through Armenia together with linguist Svetlana Burlak, archaeologist Ivan Semyan, and historian Mikhail Rodin.
The Armenian Highlands are one of the oldest cultural regions of Eurasia. A crossroads of civilizations, a northern neighbor of Mesopotamia, and the historic heartland of the kingdoms of Urartu and Greater Armenia.
For thousands of years, powerful states have risen and fallen here, trade caravans crossed ancient routes, fortresses and monasteries were built, and people continuously inhabited these lands, leaving behind an extraordinary cultural legacy.
During this journey, we will explore Armenia through the eyes of a linguist and an archaeologist.
Linguist Svetlana Burlak will guide us through the languages of the ancient world, the origins of writing, the early civilizations of the Caucasus and the Near East, and demonstrate how linguistic research helps reconstruct the past and uncover forgotten chapters of human history.
Archaeologist Ivan Semyan will immerse us in the fascinating world of archaeology, explaining how archaeologists work, how discoveries are interpreted, and how modern research continues to transform our understanding of ancient societies.
This journey offers a unique opportunity to experience Armenia not only as travelers, but also as explorers of history, language, and culture.
