Basiani Ensemble Turns 25

In 2025, the Basiani Ensemble celebrates its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the group is planning a series of special events throughout the year, including a concert series titled “Encounters with the Listener.”

Each concert will feature the folk repertoire of a specific Georgian region, accompanied by discussions on interesting historical and musical facts related to the songs.

Four events are planned:

1. Folk music of Racha-Lechkhumi and Imereti

2. Folk music of Kartli and Kakheti

3. Folk music of Samegrelo, Svaneti, and Abkhazia

4. Folk music of Guria, Adjara, and Lazeti

The concert series will be held at the State Folklore Center Hall.
