Premiere Screening of the Real-Time Animation Lab Results
In early August, the animation team invisiblefriends conducted an experimental real-time animation lab in the Kazbegi mountains. We explored whether animation can be a performing art — like a play or a concert, but on a screen.
What if animation could be alive? With room for improvisation, voice, and the presence of the creator themselves?
We experimented with controlling time and intonation using MIDI faders, searched for expressiveness in repeating loops, and experienced the effect of genuine contact — between the audience and the creator.
It was challenging, unusual, and deeply inspiring.
