An Evening of Poetry with Anyuta Vyazemskaya Snauart: Poems, Letter to Kim & Echoes of Protest (18+)
Join us at Auditoria for a unique evening where poetry, cinema, and sociology come together in a powerful reflection on the boundaries between intimate personal experience and the mechanisms of society.
Anyuta will read a selection of her earlier and recent poems, translations of Flemish and Iranian-Dutch poets, as well as works by other writers who have deeply influenced her.
The evening continues with a screening of two video art pieces (with English subtitles):
Letter to Kim — a documentary video essay addressed to the artist's spouse. Standing on the verge of divorce, the author revisits ten years of shared archives in an attempt to reflect on a marriage that also existed as an artistic collaboration.
Echoes of Protest (created for Amnesty International) — a video work exploring violations of the right to peaceful protest in Europe through imagined dialogues between objects inhabiting a liminal space in the distant future.
The program concludes with an open discussion, inviting the audience to ask questions and reflect together on the themes explored throughout the evening.
