Aluda is a theatrical adaptation of Vazha-Pshavela's masterpiece Aluda Ketelauri, one of the most important works of Georgian literature. The play tells the story of a man whose conscience leads him to challenge the rigid traditions and moral codes of his community.
After a fatal duel with his enemy, Aluda begins questioning long-held beliefs about honour, courage, and humanity. His moral awakening places him in conflict with the values of his society, transforming a personal tragedy into a powerful reflection on compassion, freedom of thought, and the price of staying true to one's convictions.
This contemporary stage production brings the philosophical depth of Vazha-Pshavela's classic to life through expressive staging, evocative music, and powerful performances.
