Description

We offer a unique and new travel format for adventurers and thrill-seekers. This trip is completely non-commercial, but donations to the tour leader are welcome. We’ve created a program that can be adjusted based on travelers’ preferences. The group will have overnight bus rides to Kobuleti (there) and Tbilisi (back). Our friend and experienced traveler Anton will accompany the group. He has hiked nearly all of the North Caucasus (Dombai, Arkhyz, Adygea, Priel, Dagestan, etc.). He’s an active sports enthusiast (from rope jumping and parachuting to diving, and especially skiing and snowboarding). He lived in Batumi for a long time and has explored everything there is to see in the region, and knows the area well. You pay for everything yourself—tickets, accommodation, and activities! Ideal for remote workers, and the best part is you won’t depend on the group, you can suggest changes to the program or stop wherever you want and for as long as you like. We’ll provide organizational support and great company! We’ve set up a separate chat for this trip where all discussions will take place!

Day 1 (August 18, Monday):
Departure at 01:00 AM (Ortachala station) on a Metrobus coach (tickets still available). Arrival in Kobuleti at 06:30. We’ll swim at dawn in Kobuleti, have breakfast, swim again, check into the hotel, have lunch, and then enjoy swimming and walking along the promenade (cafes, bars, tennis, billiards, volleyball, local community activities if desired).

Day 2 (August 19, Tuesday):
Breakfast, visit the "Georgia in Miniatures" museum, head to Shekvetili (swim and sunbathe on a less crowded beach with magnetic black sand), lunch at the Dendrarium (optional), and in the evening return to Kobuleti.

Day 3 (August 20, Wednesday):
Breakfast, travel to Batumi, swim, sunbathe, explore the promenade and old town, return to Kobuleti in the evening.

Day 4 (August 21, Thursday):
In the morning, if we have time, we’ll go to Tsikhisdziri (banana grove, cliffs, waterfall on the beach). In the afternoon, we return to Kobuleti, check out of the hotel, swim, and sunbathe in Kobuleti, enjoy the sunset on the beach, take a walk, have a late dinner at a café, and then head to Tbilisi.

Day 5 (August 22, Friday):
Departure to Tbilisi at 00:20 AM (arrival at Ortachala station at 06:00 AM, Metrobus coach, tickets still available).

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
