On June 22, we invite you to an excursion dedicated to emigrants from Tbilisi - “Chugureti: stories of the immigrant quarter.”

Together with our speaker Galina Apryshkina, an art historian with a technical background (MSU and the University of Amsterdam), we will walk around the Chugureti district and talk about the history of German settlers. Who are the Molokans and how did they get along with the local population? Let's find out where the Catholic churches came from in Orthodox Tbilisi and who built them. And, of course, we’ll look into the cozy courtyards, where you will hear many stories about different families who lived in Tbilisi.
